All your messages in one place
Every conversation is under Messages at the top of the page, newest first, with a count of unread ones.
Messaging a companion
Families start conversations; companions reply.
- Open a companion's profile.
- Select the message button.
- Say a little about the person you are arranging care for, and ask what you want to know.
Before a family can message
Families need a picture ID on their account that the Saheli team has checked. You can add it in Account settings.
Read and sent
Your own messages show Sent, then Read once the other person has opened them. If one shows Failed, select Try again.
The message rules
Messages cannot include phone numbers, email addresses, or swearing. Numbers written as words count too.
Keeping contact inside Saheli keeps a record of what was agreed, and keeps Saheli's checks and payment protection in place for both sides.
- Read the message rulesThe rules everyone agrees to when they join Saheli.
If a message is blocked
A note explains why and the message is not sent. Take out the detail and send it again. If something that breaks a rule gets through, that part is removed.
Archiving conversations
Archive a conversation you have finished with to keep your list tidy. Replies are off while it is archived; unarchive it to write again.
Message emails
Saheli emails you when someone writes to you. You can turn these emails off in Account settings, under Notifications.
- Choosing your emailsSwitch each kind of Saheli email on or off.
